What is it?

Hemorrhoids are an uncomfortable and painful condition caused by the enlargement and swelling of the veins around the rectum and anus. Internal hemorrhoids occur on the inside of the rectum; external hemorrhoids occur around the anus. Treatment of hemorrhoids depends on the severity of the disease and the symptoms.

Treatment usually involves medical methods, minimally invasive procedures or surgical interventions:

  • Medication Therapy: Topical or oral medications are used to reduce pain and relieve inflammation.
  • Rubber Band Ligation: This method, used in internal hemorrhoids, is based on placing a rubber band around the hemorrhoid to stop the blood flow.
  • Surgical Treatment: In severe cases, hemorrhoids may need to be surgically removed.

In which cases is it applied?

  • Complaints of bleeding, pain and itching
  • Swelling and discomfort around the anus
  • Difficulty during defecation

What are the Treatment Methods?

  • Laser Surgery: Used to shrink hemorrhoids quickly and painlessly.
  • Sclerotherapy: A special solution is injected to shrink hemorrhoids.
  • Surgical Excision: Complete removal of hemorrhoids in advanced cases.
