What is a Transaction?

Intensive Care consists of specialized units for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients with serious health problems and life-threatening conditions. In these units, patients’ condition is closely monitored and all necessary medical support is provided. Intensive care units are equipped to support and stabilize patients’ respiratory, circulatory and other vital functions.

How is it done?

In our Intensive Care Unit in Çiğli, Izmir, critically ill patients are continuously monitored by advanced medical devices and specialized teams. Patients’ respiratory functions are supported by mechanical ventilators and oxygen therapy is applied. Vital signs such as heart rhythm, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen levels are monitored instantly via monitors. In addition, intravenous fluids and medication are administered regularly. When necessary, additional treatments are given to control infections and support organ function. The patient’s condition is kept under constant observation and rapid and effective interventions are made when necessary.

What are the Symptoms?

Conditions requiring intensive care are usually as follows:

  • Decreased Vital Organ Functions: The inability of vital organs such as the heart, lungs or kidneys to function.
  • Need for Respiratory Support: The patient is unable to breathe adequately on his/her own.
  • Changes in Blood Pressure: Conditions such as extremely high or low blood pressure.
  • High fever and infection: Infections that seriously affect the body and high fever.
  • Severe Pain and Unconsciousness: Loss of consciousness or severe pain indicates the seriousness of the patient’s condition.

What are the Treatment Methods?

  • Respiratory Support: Mechanical ventilation devices and oxygen therapy are used to help patients breathe.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen level and blood pressure are monitored regularly with monitors.
  • Medication Management: Continuous intravenous medication is administered to stabilize patients’ condition.
  • Nutrition and Fluid Support: Nutrition and fluid supplements are provided regularly according to the patient’s needs.
  • Pain Management and Supportive Treatments: Painkillers and additional treatment methods are applied to relax the patient and support the healing process.
