What is a Transaction?
Movement disorders are neurological disorders characterized by involuntary contraction of muscles, tremors, stiffness and loss of balance. Conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor, excessive muscle contraction (dystonia) and uncontrolled movement (dyskinesia) are included in this group.
How is it done?
At our clinic in Çiğli, Izmir, patients with complaints of movement disorders undergo a detailed examination. Imaging methods such as MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and neurological tests are used to determine the cause and type of movement disorder. These tests allow us to see the functions of the brain and nervous system more clearly. Based on the results, a treatment plan is developed according to the type of disease.
What are the Symptoms?

What are the Treatment Methods?
- Medication: Medications (e.g. dopamine boosters) are used to balance chemicals in the brain and relieve symptoms.
- Surgical Interventions: Depending on the type of the disease, movements can be controlled by stimulating the nerves with surgical methods such as deep brain stimulation (DBS).
- Physical Therapy Special exercise programs are applied to strengthen muscles and improve movements.
- Lifestyle Changes: Suggestions and adjustments are made to help with daily activities to reduce balance and movement problems.
