What is a Transaction?
Multislice Computed Tomography (CT) is an advanced scanning method that takes cross-sectional images of the body and examines them in detail. This technology clearly shows the internal structure of the body, such as organs, bones and soft tissues, and plays an important role in diagnosing diseases. A CT scan allows doctors to see problems and abnormalities inside the body in detail.
How is it done?
In our clinic in Çiğli, Izmir, multislice CT scanning is performed using advanced technologies. During the procedure, the patient lies on the bed of the CT device and remains in a motionless position. As the device rotates around the patient, it very quickly takes cross-sectional images of different parts of the body. Meanwhile, X-rays inside the device scan the internal structure of the body and detailed images are obtained. Thanks to this technology, which works at high speed and precision, high-resolution images are obtained in a short time and organs and tissues are examined in detail. The whole procedure usually takes a few minutes and is painless.
What are the Symptoms?
A multislice CT scan can be used for diagnostic purposes if the following symptoms are present
- Chest pain or shortness of breath: To detect heart or lung problems.
- Headache and Neurological Symptoms: To investigate problems with the brain and nervous system.
- Abdominal Pain and Digestive Problems: Evaluation of abdominal organs and structures.
- Sudden Pain or Swelling after Trauma: Checking for internal damage or fractures after an accident or injury.
- Signs of Bleeding or Injury: To detect internal bleeding or tissue damage.
What are the Treatment Methods?
- Surgical Planning: It makes surgical interventions safer and more effective by creating a clear map of the body’s internal structure before surgery.
- Cancer Diagnosis and Monitoring: Plans and monitors the treatment process by evaluating the size, location and spread of tumors in detail.
- Evaluation of Vascular Diseases: Used to detect vascular blockages, aneurysms or other vascular abnormalities.
- Artificial Intelligence Assisted Diagnosis: Multislice CT images are analyzed by artificial intelligence algorithms to help make a fast and accurate diagnosis.
This method provides doctors with detailed and precise information in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, so that patients receive the most appropriate treatment.
