What is a Transaction?
Total hip arthroplasty is a procedure to completely replace the damaged hip joint. This surgical procedure is performed in cases of severe damage to the hip joint, such as osteoarthritis, hip fractures or infection. This procedure aims to improve the patient’s mobility and reduce pain. With total hip arthroplasty, the hip joint is replaced with a new artificial joint (prosthesis) so that it functions properly.
How is it done?
In our clinic in Çiğli, Izmir, the hip joint is examined in detail with our advanced diagnostic systems supported by artificial intelligence and the most appropriate treatment method is planned. The surgical procedure is performed under general anesthesia (the patient is completely asleep). During the procedure, the damaged hip joint surface is removed and replaced with special prosthetic implants made of metal, ceramic or plastic. These prostheses are designed to restore normal movement of the hip joint and reduce pain. After the procedure, the rehabilitation process begins for the patient to regain hip function. In this process, the patient’s mobility and muscle strength are increased by applying physical therapy and exercise programs.
